With the many recent toy recalls in the news, I found myself confused, frustrated and very angry about the dangers being manufactured, distributed and brought into my home. I'm a reasonable person and I understand that there will be times when unpredictable things happen with toys. But over the past year, there have been so many recalls of toys manufactured in China that I can't stand by and do nothing. The AquaDots containing GHB (the date rape drug) was the straw that broke my camel's back.

I've started researching for safe toys and want to share them with other parents who also want to provide their children with a safe alternative to these Chinese manufactured toys.

No Toys From China for Christmas

I am so deeply disturbed by all the recent recalls of Chinese manufactured toys!

I've already sent out emails to all our relatives asking that they choose gifts carefully this year and not give our children toys made in China. I have referred them all to my blog w/ links to non-Chinese manufactured toys.

Thanks for the friend invite! I see your fire is also fueled by toy recalls. All the toys I will buy this season for my toddler will not be Made in China. Many feel hopeless and helpless cos they just think "Oh, well, Made in China is everywhere, what I ya do about it?" It's important to get the word out to others that there *are* alternative stores!

Thank you for the invite, I am really glad that there are sites like this and that others are just upset by the whole China recalls, let's not forget about all the pet food that killed many animals either. I was fortunate that my animals were not on any of those brands. It makes me wonder if this is the new form of terrorism or just population control!?!?
